Celebrate Women’s History Month with NewPowerPAC’s Herstory Tour

Join with NewPowerPAC on Sunday, March 25, 2018, for “Herstory Atlanta Bus Tour,” a guided tour focused on the stories of trailblazing women who contributed to the success of Atlanta and Georgia.

During this 2-1/2 hour tour, you will learn about women from Sweet Auburn Avenue, Agnes Scott College, Oakland Cemetery, Spelman College, the Georgia State Capitol, and many other locales. Little-known facts and fascinating trivia about their journeys to leadership will help to write these women back into the history of Georgia. Keena-Redding-Hunt-Photo
Dynamic actress, singer, and musical director Keena Redding Hunt of Horizon Theater, will narrate the tour.

Following the tour, meet noted Atlanta historian and author Carolyn Newton Curry at a reception and book signing. Ms. Curry, 2015 Georgia Author of the Year, is the author of Suffer and Grow Strong: The life of Ella Gertrude Clanton Thomas. (Books will be available for purchase.)

Wrap up Women’s History Month with this celebration of those women whose shoulders we stand upon today.
