Over my 35-year professional career, I have developed a unique combination of political, government, marketing, and not-for-profit expertise.
Since 1981, I have been Vice President of Selman and Associates, a marketing & communications firm in Decatur, GA.
I have more than 25 years of practical political experience, including appointed positions under two governors, and I served as the Legislative VP for Georgia Citizens for the Arts. I also co-founded ALL-GA, a statewide advocacy organization. I have worked in numerous political campaigns across the state. I am a member of the American Association of Political Consultants.
As a registered lobbyist, I have helped shape public policy on the local, state and national level, including serving on President Obama’s National Arts Policy Committee.
I have been in all of Georgia’s 159 counties, at least once, and have a reputation as an effective community advocate and grassroots organizer.
I have an extensive history of volunteer work that has earned awards from the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Decatur, where I have resided for 35 years.
In addition to my professional work, I have served on numerous community and cultural boards across the state. In 2010, The Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries honored me with their Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of my many years of service to the cultural community.
