Carole Angel, Esq.

Carole Angel is the immediate past President of NewPower PAC and is Head of Government Relations at the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) where she leads IHG’s government relations strategy and execution for the Americas Region.  Carole advances public policy priorities on behalf of the company and its 3,500 U.S. hotels at the federal, state, and local level.  Prior to joining IHG, Carole served as Director, Legislative Analysis and Regulatory Counsel at McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 5 Company.

Before joining McKesson, Carole served as Counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.  Carole also worked as Legislative Counsel to U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler (NY-10) during his chairmanship of the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.  After law school, Carole worked as a staff attorney at Legal Momentum (formerly NOW Legal Defense Fund).

Carole was recognized in the American Bar Association Journal’s “The DC Power Web” and is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Class of 2012. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence and has volunteered in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as part of earthquake rebuilding efforts.

Carole earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law, and her bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.  She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
